Police officers, staff and volunteers from across the country have been recognised in the King’s New Year’s Honours List.
Police officers and personnel from all ranks, and performing a wide range of roles within the policing family, have been awarded honours for their services to policing and their communities.
Current and former superintendents are amongst those recognised this year.
President of the Police Superintendents’ Association, Nick Smart said: “It is such a pleasure to read the names of so many members of the police family being recognised for the incredible work they do.
“The King’s Honours are one of the highest forms of thanks and recognition possible, and it is right that so many people from policing are honoured as recipients.
“Policing is a difficult and demanding role, requiring sacrifice in many forms from the people who dedicate their careers to our Service. It is wonderful to see these efforts appreciated. On behalf of everyone at the Police Superintendent’s Association, I’d like to congratulate every recipient of this year’s honours.”
