Police officers, staff and volunteers recognised in King's New Year's Honours

Police officers, staff and volunteers from across the country have been recognised in the King’s New Year’s Honours List.

Police officers and personnel from a number of ranks, and performing a wide range of roles within the policing family, are part of the 1157 individuals who have been awarded honours for their services to policing and their communities.

Described as "community champions", recipients have been recognised with a particular focus this year on those who have gone above and beyond for their communities.

PSA President Nick Smart said: "It is wonderful to see so many members of the police family recognised for their exemplary efforts to support their communities and our Service.

"Policing is a vocation that requires extraordinary sacrifice and commitment. It is right therefore that those who give so much of their career and their lives to support others are thanked and appreciated in this way.

"On behalf of everyone at the Police Superintendents' Association, I'd like to offer our heartfelt congratulations to every recipient of this year's honours."
